Just because Labor Day weekend is over, it doesn’t mean summer has to stop! In the Southeast the higher temperatures continue. While it may not be in the 90’s anymore, the upper 80’s is still a great reason to get out and enjoy your local swimming holes before the season is completely over. Whether you enjoy some time by a stream or river or jump in the frigid waters for a refreshing dip, we've compiled a couple of options for your next adventure. With a slight chill in the air, Fall is nearing and some would say the best hiking of the year is about to unfold. In the Southeast United States, the tree tops turn a magnificent red, orange and yellow hues to welcome the cooler weather. Some years the glory may only last a few weeks, and some years the fall colors stick around for 2 to 3 months depending on your elevation. With so many amazing places to visit we want you to have plenty of time to plan your fall trips. Summer is rolling on and fall is coming dangerously close. If you are anything like us you've used up all of your vacation time but still have plenty of wanderlust left, and your desire to getaway is still at an all-time high. So our master plan is to use all of our precious remaining vacation days and spread them out over as many long weekends as we can possibly string together until the sun starts going down at 6:00 p.m. again.
