Tailgating after a hike

After a long day hike, an afternoon climb or a 5 to 6-hour bike ride getting back into the car and traveling back home (usually in traffic) can be a huge downer. You might be hungry for some hot food, or maybe wearing moist clothes from sweating or being caught in a storm - either way - the drive can be quite unpleasant. When planning your adventurous day, the drive home can be the last thing on your mind - but fear not! We have all you need to make that journey back just a little bit more bearable!

Two Blue Ridge Chairs on the shore of a stream

Just because Labor Day weekend is over, it doesn’t mean summer has to stop! In the Southeast the higher temperatures continue. While it may not be in the 90’s anymore, the upper 80’s is still a great reason to get out and enjoy your local swimming holes before the season is completely over. Whether you enjoy some time by a stream or river or jump in the frigid waters for a refreshing dip, we've compiled a couple of options for your next adventure. Pack along your car camping gear or load the van for a day trip not to be forgotten!
